Latch Back to Latch

Help with Latch.

Most issues come down to where the app is installed or whether macOS still trusts that exact copy.

Install

  1. Open the downloaded ZIP.
  2. Move Latch to Applications.
  3. Open Latch from Applications and complete Getting Started.

Latch is a menu-bar app, so it does not keep a regular Dock window open.

If Latch cannot see or control windows

  1. Open System Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Accessibility.
  2. Confirm Latch is present and enabled.
  3. If it is enabled, turn it off and on once.
  4. Quit and reopen Latch.
  5. Open Getting Started from the menu-bar icon and choose Check Again.

If macOS shows more than one Latch entry, remove obsolete copies and keep the one in Applications.

Updates

Choose Check for Updates from the Latch menu. For a manual update, quit Latch and replace the copy in Applications. Do not delete the old copy first; replacing it preserves preferences.
