Accessibility

Latch uses macOS Accessibility APIs to detect its keyboard gesture and to inspect, focus, resize, or move windows when you ask it to. Window titles, app names, bundle identifiers, search text, keyboard shortcuts, and window contents are not sent to analytics.

macOS may ask for Finder automation only if you ask Latch to reopen Finder.

Anonymous analytics

Latch uses TelemetryDeck to record a small number of coarse events: app launch, overlay mode, completed action category, and Accessibility setup outcome.

Events include an anonymized installation identifier, timestamp, Latch version, build, macOS version, and device type. They never include your name, email, license key, apps, window titles, searches, shortcuts, files, or free-form text.

You can disable analytics at any time in Latch Settings. Disabling it stops new and pending transmissions immediately. Read TelemetryDeck's privacy information.

Payments and licenses

Before paid checkout is available, Latch does not collect payment or license-account information.

When purchases are enabled, Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record and handles buyer, payment, tax, order, and license information. Latch receives only the order and license information needed to deliver, activate, support, refund, or revoke a license. Latch does not receive full payment-card details. Questions and requests

Latch does not keep a separate copy of TelemetryDeck events and does not send directly identifying analytics, so analytics ordinarily cannot be searched by a person's name or email.
